SUDAN visas take 3-4 working days to issue in the embassy & is valid for 2 months from the date of issue. Please note that tourist applications must have an authorisation number from the Foreign Ministry in Sudan (this can be obtained through www.tour-sudan.com ). Without this, you must lodge your application in person only and the visa will be processed in 2 months.

Send Us The Form
Send the application along with any additional documents mentioned on the form. It is best to post it using a secure service such as Royal Mail Special Delivery or another courier company.
What To Include In Your Application

It must be valid for at least the next 6 months when you apply for the visa, with at least two blank pages remaining. The passport should be in acceptable condition. If not there is a chance your application would be rejected.
The photo should be (45mm x 35mm) taken against a white background (the background must be white!). If you cannot get a photo yourself then we can print one for you from a digital copy.
It must be valid for at least the next 6 months when you apply for the visa, with at least two blank pages remaining. The passport should be in acceptable condition. If not there is a chance your application would be rejected.

Nationals of the following countries can access Sudan visa free if they hold an invitation: Benin, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Cote D'Ivoire, Djibouti, Eritrea, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal, Somalia, Togo & Tunisia.
Required by all except those as noted above and those continuing continuing their journey to another country by the same or first connecting aircraft within 6 hours provided holding confirmed tickets and documents for their onward journey. Leaving the transit area is not permitted. No hotel facilities available in the transit area. Carriers have full responsibility of passengers in transit.
Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas. Infants under 1 year are exempt. The countries & areas included in the endemic zones are considered as infected areas. A certificate may be required from travellers leaving Sudan.
Recommended immunisations: Cholera, Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Malaria, Meningitis, Polio, TB, Tetanus, Typhoid & Yellow Fever.
Risks: Malaria exists all year throughout the country. Risk is low and seasonal in the north. It is higher along the Nile south of Lake Nasser and in central & southern parts of the country. Risk on the Red Sea coast is very limited. Rabies.
In the north rainfall is rare, daytime temperatures are very high and cooler winter months have nightly temperatures low enough for occasional frost. The rainy season is between Apr-Oct although in the far south some rain may occur in any month. However, during this period, the weather may remain dry and sunny and the wettest areas may only have one out of three rainy days.

Hints in Sudan: Personal introductions are advantageous. If the visiting executive is a woman this must be clearly stated in initial correspondence. Women should dress conservatively. The host may hold several conversations at the same time. Many executives speak English. It is useful for business cards to have Arabic translation on reverse side. Muslim conventions apply. It is the convention to use the right and not the left hand when shaking hands and passing or receiving anything. At meetings it is polite to drink coffee or tea, when offered. Almost everything may stop five times a day, for prayers. Smoking is generally accepted. When sitting cross-legged on sofas or cushions, soles of the feet must not be shown. Visits during Ramadan should be avoided. Alcohol is forbidden by law. A licence is required for any form of photography.
